What does Grass Allergy mean?
If you are experiencing grass allergy, your body can not tolerate a particular amount of allergen thus resulting to inflammation of the mucous membrane in the nasal passages. It also bears the same symptoms like hay fever which are sneezing, irritation, itching of the skin, runny nose, watery eyes, and headache.
Grass pollens are airborne which if inhaled releases protein substances when it come in contact with a moist surface. These proteins often binds with antibodies on the mast cells lining of the nasal passageways thus results in the release of a substance known as histamine. Histamine causes the swelling and constriction of the nasal passageways thus making an individual with grass allergy hard to breathe.
